YUSAI Series “SEVEN WINDOWS ~Otherwise than being” Bracelet model [VM15-M01TTB-SSB]

Steel that comes apart, holding a painting that cannot be repeated. This MINASE SEVEN WINDOWS pairs the YUSAI dial “Otherwise than being” with the brand's stainless MORE bracelet, whose case and links disassemble for hand re-polishing and rebuilding.

The dial is the work of Towa TAKAYA, the Tokyo artist behind MINASE's twentieth-anniversary YUSAI series. Her Blue Series carries this title in her own practice, and she paints each dial herself, layering shades of blue into a depth that appears to lie beneath the surface. As the light around it changes, the dial shows a different face, which is precisely the fluctuation the series name describes.

She matched it to the case rather than the other way round, echoing the SEVEN WINDOWS' case-in-case structure and its indices that seem to hover unsupported, with a painting built on suspension and weightlessness. The case is a six-faceted stainless steel square, 37.4 mm wide, 46.5 mm tall and 13 mm thick including the sapphire, with the crown divided in two on the side so that seven glass windows let light into the interior. Self-winding KT7002 calibre on a Swiss ETA 2892-A2 / Sellita SW300 base, finished by MINASE, with a date. 5 atm.

Built to order and serviceable indefinitely, which is the point of owning one.
