THE STORY
The Return of Ultimate Simplicity
MINASE began with the Master Craft M Series — watches built without compromise by KYOWA, a Japanese precision cutting-tool maker. Among them, the M3 became a cult favorite for its restrained, minimalist design, so admired by collectors that MINASE revived it in 2018 after more than a decade.
The J3 is that legend reborn: the first model of the new Master Craft J Collection, reinterpreting the M3’s sculptural case through a contemporary lens — slimmer, quieter, and more refined.
SALLAZ POLISHING
Hand-Polished to a Distortion-Free Mirror
The J3’s defining signature is Sallaz polishing — a demanding hand-finishing technique mastered by only a handful of artisans. Applied to the bezel, the case sides, and the angled surfaces of the case back, it produces flawless mirror surfaces and razor-sharp edges that play against hairline-brushed planes.
The result: a simple three-hand watch with a presence that mass production cannot imitate.
REFINED PROPORTIONS
Slimmer. Smaller. More Elegant.
The J3 refines the M3’s sculptural case in hundredths of a millimeter: the diameter trimmed from 38.8 mm to 37.4 mm, the thickness from 10.8 mm to a sleek 9.9 mm. The proportions sit gracefully on nearly any wrist — unmistakably modern, yet true to the original’s spirit.
LIGHT SAND DIAL
A Texture That Plays With Light
Each J3 wears MINASE’s signature “Light Sand Dial” — a finely grained surface that softly catches the light, shifting in character with every angle. Sharp-cut applied hour markers rise in crisp contrast, and both markers and hands glow blue in the dark for effortless nighttime legibility.
Choose from three dials: Black, White, or Beige.
