YUSAI Series “FIVE WINDOWS MID ~Pluralist Garden” Leather model (Black) [VM07-CBKTTG-SSD]

A luminous blue-green, hand-painted, on the smallest case MINASE makes for this collection. The YUSAI dial “FIVE WINDOWS MID ~Pluralist Garden” arrives here on a black leather strap, which drops the weight and sharpens the color.

The YUSAI series is painted by Towa TAKAYA, a contemporary artist based in Tokyo who makes her own paints from soil, plants and cosmetic ingredients gathered during her research travels. MINASE named the series for the union of time's unhurried flow with the fluctuation of color, and every dial is painted individually rather than printed or reproduced.

Her account of this artwork begins with Japanese gardens and the aperture that connects an interior to an exterior, which is the founding idea of the WINDOWS case. Drawing on her Cherry Blossom Series, she layered gradations that answer the light coming through the case and suggest blossoms trembling with ripples of water and a gentle breeze. The FIVE WINDOWS Mid case around it is stainless steel, 32 mm across, 40.3 mm long and 11.6 mm thick including the sapphire, each face hand-polished to a distortion-free mirror. The self-winding KT8001, a Swiss ETA 2671 / Sellita SW100 base finished by MINASE, shows the date. Black leather strap, 5 atm.
