YUSAI Series “DIVIDO ∞: Falling Stars and Mirage” Bracelet model [VM14-M01TTP-SSB]

MINASE's YUSAI series marks the brand's twentieth anniversary, and “∞: Falling Stars and Mirage” is the dial artwork it made for the DIVIDO. Same case, same architecture, entirely different surface.

YUSAI joins two ideas: the eternal, unhurried flow of time and the fluctuation of color itself, which MINASE calls an aesthetics of fluctuation. Every dial in the series is hand-painted by Towa TAKAYA, a Tokyo-born artist who studied at Central Saint Martins and Goldsmiths and makes her own paints from soil, plants and cosmetic ingredients gathered in the regions she researches. She paints these dials herself, with the same materials she uses in her studio practice.

In her own words, she painted this one so that different hues emerge depending on where the viewer stands, working the delicate lustre of mother-of-pearl into layered gradations of pigment: at times a nebula, at other moments a snowy landscape. It suits the DIVIDO, whose faceted case already changes character with the angle. Stainless steel, 40.6 mm square, 11 mm thick with the sapphire, on the MORE bracelet that disassembles link by link for hand re-polishing. Self-winding KT7002 calibre, a Swiss ETA 2892-A2 / Sellita SW300 base finished by MINASE, with a date. 5 atm.

Painted individually, so each example holds its own set of colors.
