Uruga 31 Bracelet Model [UG02-M01NWH-SSB]

White is the URUGA 31 dial that shows the pattern rather than the color. The horizontal gradation runs across it in visible bands, and there is nothing else competing for attention.

MINASE derived that pattern from the Minase River in Akita, and pairs it with hour indices cut on an oblique angle, a form the brand attributes to the crossed front of a kimono. The two together produce a face that never looks quite the same twice, even though it holds no complication beyond the date.

Around the dial, four voluminously cut clasps clamp the case and the crystal together, a structure taken from the way a stone is held in a setting, with a slightly curved sapphire between them. All the mirrored surfaces on the case and bracelet are hand-polished, a Swiss-origin discipline MINASE adopted and made its own, which keeps the reflections flat and the edges sharp.

Steel throughout, at 31 mm wide, 39 mm long and 9.9 mm thick. The self-winding KT8001 is a Swiss ETA 2671 and Sellita SW100 base finished by MINASE. Rated 5 atm for splashes and rain.
