A pink dial inside a steel case is a sharper contrast than the same color on a warm metal, and the URUGA 31 is precise enough to carry it.

MINASE builds the collection on that kind of opposition: the tagline for URUGA is mature elegance born of dazzling contrast, and the case delivers it structurally. Four elaborately faceted clasps clamp the case and the crystal together, cut with volume and arranged like the prongs of a gemstone setting, against the smooth curvature of a sapphire that curves slightly along its vertical axis.

The pink dial carries the horizontal gradation pattern taken from the Minase River, so it shifts in bands rather than sitting flat, and the obliquely cut indices, inspired by the front of a kimono, keep the reflections uneven. On the steel bracelet the color reads as deliberate rather than soft.

The case measures 31 by 39 mm and 9.9 mm thick. Inside is the self-winding KT8001, a Swiss ETA 2671 and Sellita SW100 base finished and decorated in MINASE's Akita workshop, with a date. Water resistance is 5 atm.
