Teutonia Sport I — Silver Dial / Cognac Calf Leather
Clous de Paris means "nails of Paris", the pyramid-point pattern once worked into metal like a field of hammered horseshoe nails. Here it covers the entire dial of the Teutonia Sport I.
Mühle-Glashütte uses it to make an argument about its own past. The brand's copy points out that the bicompax subdials are integrated seamlessly into the Clous de Paris pattern, the way speedometers and rev counters were set into an instrument panel, and Mühle built exactly those instruments for Horch, DKW, Wanderer and BMW from 1918 onward.
The silver embossed dial carries blue CVD-coated hands and indices with Super-LumiNova, a blue tachymeter scale on the rehaut and the date at 6 o'clock. The steel case measures 42.6 mm across, 15.5 mm high and 52.1 mm lug to lug, under a bidirectional rotating bezel, on cognac calfskin with a steel pin buckle. Mühle's own MU 9419 automatic runs 62 hours behind the Glashütte three-quarter plate, visible through the exhibition caseback. Anti-reflective sapphire, 10 bar.
The dressiest watch in the motorsport line, and the one with the most going on up close.
Perfect for: textured chronograph dial collectors, silver and blue chronographs, classic car rally watch buyers.
