Teutonia Sport I — Black and Red Dial / Black and Red Leather and Rubber
Leather where it meets the case, rubber where it meets the wrist. The Teutonia Sport I on its black and red leather-and-rubber strap is the version built for actually driving in.
Mühle-Glashütte's motorsport claim is not decorative. From 1918 the company made speedometers and rev counters for Horch, DKW, Wanderer and BMW, and more recently it served as official partner to five classic-car rallies in a single season. The Sport I is the chronograph end of that story.
Its black dial runs red accents throughout: red scale markings, a red-on-black tachymeter on the rehaut calibrated over a 1,000-meter base, and a red accent on the start pusher. Counters are arranged tri-compax, with the 30-minute register at 12, small seconds at 9 and the 12-hour counter at 6, and the date sits just off 4. Bidirectional rotating bezel with a 60-minute scale. The steel case is 42.6 mm by 15.5 mm and 52.1 mm lug to lug, driven by Mühle's own MU 9413 automatic with the Glashütte three-quarter plate. Super-LumiNova on hands and markers, anti-reflective sapphire, exhibition caseback, 10 bar.
Built to be read at speed and to survive being worn hard.
Perfect for: rubber strap chronograph buyers, rally and classic car enthusiasts, tri-compax chronograph shoppers.
