Teutonia IV BlueMoon — Midnight Blue Dial / Steel Bracelet
Most moon phase watches tuck the moon into a small window near 6 o'clock. The Teutonia IV BlueMoon drags it toward the middle of the dial and makes the disc 6 millimeters across.
Mühle-Glashütte named the watch after the second full moon to fall inside one calendar month, and built the dial around it: a large arc-shaped aperture across the lower half, a deep blue night sky with small stars, and a moon enlarged by its move inward. The date and the moon phase are both quick-set, which matters on a watch that is not worn every single day.
Here it is fitted to a 195 mm stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp, 174 grams complete, around a 39.0 mm case measuring 11.8 mm high and 48.5 mm lug to lug. Bright nickel-plated hands and applied indices, midnight blue dial, date at 3, beveled bezel and satin-finished case middle. SW 288-1, Version Mühle automatic, 41 hours, anti-reflective sapphire, exhibition caseback, 10 bar.
A complete steel package for someone who wants a lunar display without a large case.
Perfect for: steel bracelet moon phase watches, blue dial complication buyers, compact 39 mm automatic watches.
