Teutonia II Chronometer — Silver Dial / Black Croc-Embossed Calf Leather
Fifteen days. Five positions. Three temperatures. That is the examination a Teutonia II Chronometer sits before Mühle-Glashütte may print the word on its dial.
Testing takes place at the Glashütte Observatory to DIN 8319, the German chronometer standard, at 8, 23 and 38 degrees Celsius, with the average daily rate held between minus four and plus six seconds. Each watch leaves with its own individual certificate. The rest is pure Teutonia II, the family introduced in 2002: silver guilloché dial, hand-applied polished indices, volute-shaped lugs worked into the case middle.
At 39.0 mm across and 11.9 mm high it is the classically proportioned member of the line. Blackened hands, central seconds and a date window at 6 o'clock keep the dial uncluttered. The caliber is an SW 200-1, Version Mühle, a Sellita base fitted with Mühle's patented woodpecker neck regulation, a shock-resistant development of the Glashütte swan neck, running 41 hours with stop-seconds for setting to the second. Black croc-embossed calfskin, steel folding clasp, exhibition caseback, 10 bar.
For the buyer who wants the certificate as much as the watch, and wants both under a shirt cuff.
Perfect for: certified chronometer buyers, 39 mm dress watch seekers, German precision watchmaking collectors.
