Terrasport II — Cream Dial / Milanese Bracelet
Cream dial, silver Milanese mesh, 10 mm of case height. This is the closest the Terrasport II gets to a dress watch without giving up a single functional detail.
The dial layout comes from the pilot's watches Glashütte produced from the late 1930s, a heritage of the watchmaking town rather than of Mühle-Glashütte itself, whose own line of descent runs through precision measuring instruments from 1869. The conventions still earn their place: Arabic numerals 1 through 11, luminous rectangular batons at the five-minute marks, and a luminous triangle with a dot on either side where the 12 belongs, a marker designed so the dial can be oriented instantly under vibration.
Here the cream face sits above a 190 mm silver Milanese mesh bracelet with a folding clasp, on a brushed stainless steel case 40.0 mm across with a 48.2 mm lug-to-lug and a total weight of 138 grams. Losange hands, red central seconds, date at 3 o'clock. Anti-reflective sapphire, screw-down crown, 10 bar, and an exhibition caseback over the SW 200-1, Version Mühle automatic with woodpecker neck fine regulation, stop-seconds and 41 hours of reserve.
Mesh and a pale dial make the Terrasport II read far dressier than its instrument origins. A genuine two-role watch.
Perfect for: cream dial mesh bracelet buyers, dress-capable field watches, slim German automatic watches.
