Terrasport II — Cream Dial / Steel Bracelet
A cream dial against brushed steel is a harder contrast than it sounds, and the Terrasport II carries it by keeping everything on the dial black and functional.
Mühle-Glashütte builds this one on a design vocabulary that Glashütte developed for pilot's watches in the late 1930s, when the town shifted toward precise and easily read wristwatches. That lineage belongs to Glashütte rather than to the Mühle firm, which was making precision measuring instruments at the time. The details are unchanged: Arabic 1 through 11, luminous five-minute batons, a luminous triangle with a dot on each side replacing the 12, losange hands and a red central seconds hand answered by a red marker at the top of the dial.
This configuration puts the cream dial on a brushed silver stainless steel bracelet, 175 mm with a folding clasp, at 138 grams complete. The case is brushed steel, 40.0 mm across and 10.0 mm tall, 48.2 mm lug to lug, with anti-reflective sapphire, a screw-down crown and a 10 bar rating. Date at 3 o'clock. The exhibition caseback shows the SW 200-1, Version Mühle automatic, fitted with Mühle's patented woodpecker neck regulation and good for 41 hours.
Bright, light on the eye and easy to live with. The sunniest Terrasport II in the lineup.
Perfect for: light dial steel bracelet watches, everyday automatic watch buyers, high-contrast legible dials.
