SEVEN WINDOWS "YUKI-HIRA Dial" Rubber model [VM15-RBKYWH-SSD]
White dial, black rubber. It is the plainest pairing in the SEVEN WINDOWS range and, because of that, the one where the case does most of the talking.
MINASE cuts the outer case as a square with six faceted panes and divides the crown into two on the side, which brings the count of sapphire windows to seven. Light passes through all of them, and the brilliance and shading it produces move with the angle of the watch and the time of day. A separate inner case holds the movement and the curved dial, with the hour markers on a ring set above.
The white YUKI-HIRA dial is a traditional hammered pattern grown by electroforming instead of printed, and white is where its relief is easiest to read. In flat light it is simply a bright dial; in raking light it turns into a worked surface.
Steel, 37.4 mm wide, 46.5 mm long including the lugs, 13 mm thick with the crystal, around 98 grams on the black rubber strap. The self-winding KT7002 carries a date. Rated 5 atm for rain and splashes only.
Perfect for: white dial sport watches, high-contrast dial and strap pairings, everyday Japanese automatic watches.
