Green and leather is a combination that belongs outdoors, and it takes the SEVEN WINDOWS somewhere less formal than steel does.

MINASE makes about as few watches a year as a workshop of this kind can, hand-assembling them in Akita from components that are finished one at a time. The most demanding of those operations is Sallaz polishing, a hand technique of Swiss origin that MINASE has made its own: the part is held against a rotating plate charged with fine diamond dust, pressure adjusted by fingertip, so the surface stays flat and the reflection stays free of distortion. A single part can take up to 90 minutes.

The green YUKI-HIRA dial in this reference is formed by electroforming rather than printing, a traditional Japanese hammered pattern that reads deep and forested in this color and shifts markedly as light moves across it. Steel case, 37.4 by 46.5 mm and 13 mm thick with the crystal, on a leather strap that brings the watch down to around 89 grams.

Inside is the self-winding KT7002 with date, a Swiss ETA 2892 and Sellita SW300 base finished and decorated by MINASE. Water resistance is 5 atm.
