SEVEN WINDOWS Rubber model [VM15-RBKNBL-SSD]
Take the most labor-intensive case MINASE makes and put it on a rubber strap. The SEVEN WINDOWS in blue is the result, and the contradiction is the appeal.
The case is a square cut with six facets, and because the crown is divided into two on its flank the total comes to seven sapphire windows. Light travels through all of them onto a dial that is three-dimensional and finely textured, so the brilliance and shading move as the wrist moves. Inside sits a second case holding the movement, with the hour markers carried on a ring above the dial.
Blue is the version that holds its color in low light and opens up outdoors. Fitted to black rubber the watch comes to about 98 grams, light enough to be forgotten and substantial enough to be noticed. The steel case measures 37.4 mm wide, 46.5 mm long and 13 mm thick with the crystal.
The self-winding KT7002 with date is a Swiss ETA 2892 and Sellita SW300 base, finished and decorated in MINASE's Akita workshop. Water resistance is 5 atm, which covers rain and splashes.
Perfect for: blue dial rubber strap watches, casual luxury automatics, summer watch rotations.
