Panova Grey — Anthracite Velour Suede

Anthracite suede and a gray dial: two grays, two textures, almost no contrast. The Panova Grey works this way because the dial is ray-cut and the suede is not.

Mühle-Glashütte developed the Panova as a way into the brand and into Glashütte watchmaking generally, in a town where the family has made precision instruments since 1869. The name puts panorama next to via, the Latin for path.

The suede is 20 mm on a steel pin buckle and mounts on quick-release spring bars. The stainless steel case measures 40.0 mm in diameter and 10.4 mm in height, 48.2 mm lug to lug, water resistant to 10 bar with a solid steel back. Hands and hour markers carry Super-LumiNova, and there is no date. The SW 200-1 Version Mühle automatic runs 41 hours and carries Mühle's patented woodpecker neck fine regulation, a shock-resistant reworking of the Glashütte swan-neck regulator.

Matte, soft and deliberately quiet. The most tactile version of this watch.
