No.01 – white/gold
Gold-colored numerals on a white ground turn the founding MeisterSinger into something closer to a dress watch, without softening a single line of it.
The No.01 is where the German brand began in 2001, and it remains the only hand-wound model in the range. Its dial was drawn to be read the way a gauge is read: one hand, double-digit numerals 01 through 12, a medium mark at the half hour, shorter marks at the quarters and the finest divisions every five minutes. MeisterSinger's own claim is that this gives the time almost to the minute, and after a day on the wrist the missing minute hand stops registering as missing. Red Dot and iF juries both awarded the design.
The white and gold execution is worn on a cognac strap with 20 mm lugs, in a 43 mm stainless steel case rated to 5 bar. The caseback is solid and engraved edge to edge with the fermata, the musical mark for a held pause and the emblem of the brand. Winding is manual, by way of a Sellita SW210 caliber.
Formal on the wrist, uncompromising in its thinking.
Perfect for: white and gold dial buyers, hand-wound dress watch seekers, gifts marking a milestone.
