No.01 – ivory
An ivory dial, black printing and a single steel needle. There is nothing else on the face of the No.01, and there never has been.
This is the original MeisterSinger, the model the Münster company launched with in 2001 and the one that established the visual grammar every later collection borrows. Its double-digit numerals run continuously from 01 to 12, its line structure wraps the full circumference, and its hand is deliberately long and needle-thin so the tip reaches the outermost track. Both the Red Dot and the iF Design Award recognized the design.
Ivory gives it the look of an old instrument dial, which is very much the point: the founder describes a watch as a measuring instrument rather than jewelry. The 43 mm stainless steel case is water resistant to 5 bar, wears 20 mm lugs and a brown strap, and hides a hand-wound Sellita SW210 behind a solid caseback engraved with a repeating fermata pattern, the pause symbol that gives the brand its logo. No date, no automatic rotor, no seconds hand.
For anyone who would rather wind a watch each morning than forget it exists.
Perfect for: manual-wind watch collectors, cream and ivory dial buyers, admirers of instrument-style typography.
