NAOS XS white silver / Classic white

White strap, white dial, and a narrow band of polished steel between the two. The Naos XS is a small watch to begin with, and this configuration makes a virtue of having even less to look at.

The Naos is the design Sternglas built its catalog around: a dial on which nothing appears unless it helps you read the time. The XS takes that thinking down to a 33 mm case for wrists the standard size overwhelms, keeping the printed markers, the sans-serif type and the date, and cutting the rest.

Here the white dial sits in a polished 316L stainless steel case with a white Klassik leather strap on the 16 mm lugs the XS uses. A Miyota GL12 quartz movement runs the hands, with a date and hacking seconds, which stop the second hand when the crown is pulled so the time can be set exactly. The battery is rated for around three years. A double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both faces covers the dial, and the case is water resistant to 5 bar.

It is the brightest build in the line and the least formal, a watch for pale summer clothing that never asks to be dressed up.
