NAOS XL Edition 1905 dark green bronze / Milanaise 20 bronze

Mesh in bronze is an unusual finish to find on a steel bracelet. It is also the reason this version of the Edition 1905 reads as one object rather than a watch plus a strap.

The Naos is the Sternglas core design, stripped back until only what you need to read the time is left on the dial. Edition 1905 marks the year Hamburg's Speicherstadt warehouse district was completed, pairing a dark green satin dial with a brushed PVD bronze case, bronze hands and signal-orange accents. The caseback carries an engraving of the Wasserschloss standing in the Speicherstadt canals.

Here the 42 mm XL case sits on a Milanaise bracelet in bronze: 316L stainless steel woven at 2.5 mm, 20 mm at the lugs, closing with a slider clasp that adjusts to any length instead of jumping between fixed holes. Quartz movement with a date, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both surfaces, 5 bar.

Mesh drapes rather than sits, which makes 42 mm feel smaller on the wrist than the number suggests.
