Lunova Day/Date — Black-Gray Dial / Brown Croc-Embossed Calf Leather

Pick this one up and the weight is wrong in the best way. The Lunova Day/Date is titanium, polished so carefully that Mühle-Glashütte says it is virtually impossible to tell from polished stainless steel.

It is the only titanium watch in the Lunova family, which otherwise runs in steel and takes its name from the Latin lumen and novus, light and new, after the high proportion of polished surface. Titanium brings the rest of its usual advantages along: light, resistant and anti-allergic for people who react to other alloys.

The case is 42.3 mm across and 11.0 mm tall, 50.0 mm lug to lug, water resistant to 10 bar, on a brown croc-embossed calf leather strap with a titanium pin buckle and quick-release spring bars. Black-gray gradient dial, applied indices and hands with Super-LumiNova, weekday and date at 3 o'clock. Inside is the SW 220-1 Version Mühle automatic, 41 hours, with the patented woodpecker neck fine regulation and stop-seconds, on view through the exhibition caseback.

Seventy-two grams complete, and it disappears on the wrist. A dress watch for people who dislike feeling their watch.
