Lunascope – blue/gold
Gold against a night sky is an old pairing, and it does something specific here: it makes the moon the brightest thing on the dial.
MeisterSinger built the Lunascope in 2018 as its first moonphase, and this blue and gold execution warms the whole composition. Gold-colored detailing catches the light across a deep blue, star-flecked ground while an oversized moon occupies the top half of the dial, its display accurate to within a single day over more than a century. A quick-set date sits at six. Everything else is left to a single needle hand, in the tradition the German brand has followed since 2001.
The case measures 40 mm in stainless steel, takes 20 mm lugs, is water resistant to 5 bar and comes on a cognac strap. Inside is the MS Luna caliber, built on a Sellita SW220 automatic with an integrated moonphase module, tuned as always to carry one long hand across a five-minute scale readable almost to the minute.
The dressiest watch in the Lunascope line, and the one that most looks like the thing it is describing.
Perfect for: gold accented dress watch buyers, moonphase gift shoppers, collectors of unusual complications on a single-hand dial.
