Matching a pink dial to a pink strap could easily go wrong. On the MINASE Luna Arch it does not, because the mirror-polished case cuts a hard bright line between the two and stops the color from running together.

Luna Arch is MINASE's elegance-led design, introduced in 2023 and assembled around a clamping structure instead of the case-in-case construction used on the brand's mechanical watches. A single smooth bezel clasps the sapphire crystal from above, following the logic of a jeweler's bezel setting, and the crystal is left visible through the gap between bezel and case so the watch never looks like a solid slab. Metal surfaces are worked by hand with Sallaz polishing, a Swiss-origin technique MINASE revived in Akita.

Here a pink dial sits above a pink leather strap. The dial pattern is drawn from the glittering, randomly reflected light on the Minase River, which gives the color depth as the wrist moves. The case measures 30.5 mm wide, 37.1 mm long including the lugs and 8.7 mm thick, and the movement is a Miyota calibre 2036 quartz made in Japan, with a battery life of approximately three years.

Water resistance is 5 atm, so rain and splashes rather than swimming. It is a small watch with an unusually confident color sense.
