Kaenos – petrol

Petrol sits between blue and green and refuses to settle on either. It is the most characterful dial in the Kaenos family.

MeisterSinger named this model from the Greek kainos, meaning new or fresh, and built it as the sporty-chic answer to the rest of its catalog: an integrated H-link steel bracelet, a case designed around it, and an iF Design Award in 2025 to show for it. The dial uses two layers, the numerals cut through the upper one so the luminous layer below reads through the openings. A single hand shows the hour, and a large date window sits at 6 o'clock.

In petrol, the depth of the color plays against the cut-out numerals, going nearly black in shade and turning distinctly green in sunlight. The 40 mm stainless steel case is 11.2 mm tall with 10 bar water resistance, and a Sellita SW400 automatic drives the single hand for 38 hours.

It is the Kaenos for someone who wants a color that takes a second to name, on a watch that takes a second to read.
