HAMBURG new graphite silver / Bridle 20 black

Graphite is the color black wishes it were: deeper than gray, softer than black, and it shifts with the light. The Sternglas HAMBURG in new graphite makes the case, here on a black Bridle leather strap.

New graphite is a dial color rather than a special edition, and it belongs to the HAMBURG line, the most instrument-like family Sternglas makes. The dial is graphite satin and lightly domed, with bolder numerals and a fine outer minute scale, and the screwed caseback is engraved with a map of Hamburg.

The case measures 42 mm in silver-tone stainless steel with 20 mm lugs. Inside is a quartz movement with a date display; above the dial is double-domed sapphire with anti-reflective coating on both surfaces. Water resistance is 5 bar. The Bridle strap is a substantial black leather cut for 20 mm lugs, and it makes the darkest reading available of this configuration.

Near-monochrome, with the satin dial supplying whatever variation there is.
