HAMBURG Chrono Edition Vintage dark green gold / Bridle 20 black

Dark green and gold is a combination the 1960s used well and the decades since have mostly forgotten. The Sternglas HAMBURG Chrono Edition Vintage brings it back, and black bridle leather sharpens it.

HAMBURG is where Sternglas looks to its home city and to the measuring instruments of seafaring, which is why the dial is built for reading at a glance: strong Arabic numerals, a fine minute scale around the rim, Luminova on the hands and markers. The Edition Vintage takes that architecture and reworks it in a 1960s register, with a gold-toned case in place of the usual steel.

The case measures 42 mm, the dial is dark green, and the strap is a Bridle-line leather in black on 20 mm lugs. The movement is a Seiko/TMI VK64 meca-quartz chronograph, which means quartz timekeeping and a mechanically driven chronograph hand that sweeps in five steps per second before snapping back to zero. There is a 24-hour register and a date at six, double-domed sapphire with double anti-reflective coating above the dial, and 5 bar of water resistance.

Black leather pulls the gold toward formality. This is the dressiest way the Edition Vintage is offered.
