Nautical instruments are the stated reference, and it shows in the full Arabic numerals, the hairline minute scale at the dial's edge and the luminous hands. The screwed caseback is engraved with a map of Hamburg showing the Alster, the Reeperbahn, the Speicherstadt and the Landungsbrücken.

Here a blue dial sits inside a bronze-toned 42 mm case, with a quartz movement, a date display, double-domed sapphire with anti-reflective coating on both faces, and 5 bar of water resistance. The bracelet is the Milanaise: 316L stainless steel woven into Milanese mesh, 2.5 mm thick, in a bronze finish matched to the case, with a sliding clasp that adjusts continuously instead of in fixed link steps.
