HAMBURG Automatic silver silver / Vintage 20 mocha

Steel and brown leather is the default uniform of the sensible watch, and the Sternglas HAMBURG Automatic wears it well: a silver dial and silver case above a mocha leather strap from the Vintage line.

Sternglas designs in Hamburg, and the HAMBURG collection is its portrait of the city. The dial borrows the clarity of seafaring instruments, using full Arabic numerals and a fine outer minute scale instead of the pared-back markers found elsewhere in the range, with Luminova applied to hands and indices. The screwed caseback is engraved with a map of Hamburg.

The silver-toned watch measures 42 mm in 316L stainless steel, with a slightly domed satin dial in silver under double-domed sapphire and double anti-reflective coating. The movement is the Miyota 8215 automatic, wound by the wrist, with 42 hours of reserve, hacking seconds and a date display. It is rated to 5 bar. The 20 mm Vintage leather strap in mocha adds the only warmth in the whole design.
