G-STEEL exists because of a structural problem: metal transmits shock, and G-SHOCK's whole premise is that shock must not reach the module.
Casio's answer was a layered guard structure, with a steel bezel sitting over an inner resin case so the metal takes the impact and the resin absorbs what it passes on. The GST-S100G is one of the line's founding references, and it wears the arrangement openly: steel on the outside, resin everywhere it matters.
Black with gold accents across the face, on a black resin band, in a case 59.1 by 52.4 mm and 16.1 mm deep at 97 grams. Two hands sweep over a digital display, with a hand shift feature to clear them and a double LED lighting both. Module 5445 runs on Tough Solar and carries 31 time zones, a stopwatch, a countdown timer, alarms and a full auto-calendar. 200 m water resistant.
Large and unambiguous. The gold keeps it from reading as purely industrial.
