G-SHOCK GST-B1000D-2A - G-STEEL
Eleven point six millimetres is thin for any steel sports watch. For one built to survive being dropped on concrete, it is the interesting number on the spec sheet.
The GST-B1000 is G-SHOCK's current G-STEEL reference, using the line's layered guard structure with a steel bezel over a carbon-bio inner case, plus Carbon Core Guard underneath. The result is a metal watch on a solid steel bracelet that comes in at 118 grams and 11.6 mm deep.
Blue and light blue across the dial against a silver bracelet, with a one-touch three-fold clasp and spring bar adjustment, in a case 46.9 by 44.2 mm. Screw-lock crown. Three hands over two sub-dials for 24-hour and day, with a date window. Module 5748 runs on Tough Solar and sets itself from the CASIO WATCHES app over Bluetooth. 200 m water resistant.
The most conventionally handsome watch G-SHOCK currently makes, and still rated to 200 metres.
