The GMW-B5000 is part of G-SHOCK's Full Metal line, where the 1983 square is rebuilt in stainless steel with the shock structure re-engineered for a material the original design ruled out. This reference keeps the steel case and bezel and fits a resin band, which drops the weight from 167 grams to 96.
Steel case with a screw-lock back, black resin band, in a case 49.3 by 43.2 mm and 13 mm deep. Module 3459 runs on Tough Solar and sets itself two ways, over Multi Band 6 radio calibration and by Bluetooth to the CASIO WATCHES app. World time across 39 zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, five alarms and a full auto-calendar. 200 m water resistant.
All of the metal case, none of the bracelet weight. The one to wear all day without thinking about it.
