The 5600 square scaled down to 40.5 mm is a genuinely different watch, not just a smaller one.
The GMD-S5610 is the mid-size member of G-SHOCK's 5600 Series, keeping the 1983 outline, the four buttons and the shock structure while dropping to 42 grams. At that weight the square stops feeling like a tool and starts feeling like jewellery that happens to be waterproof.
All black, including the bezel text, in a case of resin and bio-based resin measuring 45.7 by 40.5 mm and 11.9 mm deep. Module 3523 carries a stopwatch, a countdown timer, an alarm and a full auto-calendar, on a three-year battery. 200 m water resistant, the same as the full-size square.
Small, dark and completely unfussy. The easiest G-SHOCK to wear with anything.
Perfect for: mid-size G-SHOCK watches, small square digital watches, all black watches for smaller wrists.
