G-SHOCK GMA-S2100-1A - Mid-Size Octagon
The 2100 was already thin. Casio's next question was whether it could be smaller without becoming a different watch.
The GMA-S2100 is the mid-size answer within G-SHOCK's 2100 Series, a downsized version of the octagon that keeps the Carbon Core Guard case structure and the analog-digital layout while dropping to 42.9 mm across and 41 grams. Nothing about the design was simplified to get there.
All black, in a case 46.2 by 42.9 mm and 11.2 mm deep. Skeleton hands sit over a small LCD with Neobrite on the markers. Module 5611 covers 31 time zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer and five daily alarms, runs three years on a pair of cells and holds fifteen seconds a month. 200 m water resistant, the same as its full-size sibling.
For smaller wrists, or for anyone who found the standard 2100 slightly more watch than they wanted. Identical capability, less presence.
Perfect for: mid-size G-SHOCK watches, small octagonal watches, black analog-digital watches for smaller wrists.
