Casio put an optical heart rate sensor in the 1983 square. It should not work, and it does.
The GM-H5600 belongs to G-SHOCK's 5600 Series in metal-clad form, a stainless steel bezel over a resin case, with the brand's activity module inside. Heart rate, step counting, world time and moon phase all sit behind the same four buttons the original square used, and the watch charges by solar or by a dedicated USB cable when you have been training in the dark.
Silver bezel over a black case and a band of biomass plastics, in a case 51.5 by 44 mm and 16.5 mm deep at 63 grams. Module 3577 adds Bluetooth to the CASIO WATCHES app for time setting and data, plus a stopwatch, countdown timer, alarms and a full auto-calendar. 200 m water resistant.
A fitness watch that still looks like a DW-5600. The one to have if you did not want a smartwatch.
