G-SHOCK GM-2100BM-1A - Metal-Clad Octagon
Two G-SHOCKs can share a case, a module and a colorway and still not look alike. The difference here is what the steel bezel has been coated with.
The GM-2100BM is a metal-clad 2100 Series model with its stainless steel bezel finished in black, over a resin case and a band made from biomass plastics. Metal-clad means the bezel is steel while the case and band stay resin, which is how the watch holds its shock structure and still comes in at 71 grams.
Blacked out end to end, 49.3 by 44.4 mm and 11.8 mm deep. Two hands run over the digital display with the hand shift feature clearing them when you want the LCD unobstructed, Neobrite on the markers, and a double LED lighting the face and the display separately. Module 5611 handles 31 time zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer and five alarms, three years to a battery, fifteen seconds a month. 200 m water resistant.
Same watch as its silver sibling, read entirely differently across a room.
