G-SHOCK GBM-2100-1A - Metal-Clad Octagon
The GM-2100 gave the octagon a steel bezel. The GBM-2100 gave it a solar cell and a Bluetooth radio, which is the change you notice a year in rather than on day one.
This is the connected member of G-SHOCK's 2100 Series: bio-based resin case under a stainless steel bezel, on a band made from biomass plastics. Tough Solar means the battery is never opened, and mobile link pairs the watch to the CASIO WATCHES app so it sets itself from the phone rather than from a button sequence.
All black, 49.3 by 44.4 mm and 11.9 mm deep, 72 grams. Two hands run over the LCD with a hand shift feature to move them out of the way, Neobrite on the markers, double LED lighting. Module 5729 covers world time across 38 zones, a stopwatch, a countdown timer and daily alarms, and holds fifteen seconds a month with the phone link switched off. 200 m water resistant.
