Smoke, not sky. The gradated blue dial on this DIVIDO is a blue-gray that pales toward the middle and thickens to something almost stormy at the rim, and it changes character every time the wrist moves. MINASE builds very few watches, and dials like this are part of the reason.

The DIVIDO case is designed after the shared wings of an origami crane, folded from planes that meet at sharp, hand-finished edges. It also comes apart. MINASE calls the system MORE, for MINASE Original Rebuilding Equation: the exterior, down to the individual bracelet links, can be disassembled, re-polished or repaired, and reassembled, which is what lets the company offer service with no end date.

Reference VM14-M01GBL-SSB pairs the gradated blue dial with the MORE stainless steel bracelet, in a case-in-case measuring 40.6 by 40.6 mm and 11 mm thick including the sapphire crystal, weighing about 134 g. The movement is the self-winding caliber KT7002 with date, a Swiss ETA 2892 / Sellita SW300 base finished and decorated in the brand’s Akita workshop. Water resistance is 5 atm, for rain and splashes only.
