BERLIN green / Heritage 20 black silver

Green is the BERLIN dial that people notice second. It reads as neutral across a room and as color up close, which is a hard balance to strike.

The line takes its story from the 1846 Hamburg to Berlin railway, recorded on the caseback as an engraving of the Berliner Bahnhof, the terminus that served the route from 1857 to 1903. Its practical signature is the day-of-week indicator, unusual in Sternglas's otherwise strictly reduced catalog, paired with the date.

A Miyota GM02 quartz movement drives both, with roughly three years between battery changes and day names available in English or German. The green dial is set in a 38 mm stainless steel case with silver-tone hands, under double-domed sapphire coated against reflections on both surfaces, rated to 5 bar. The 20 mm Heritage strap is black alligator-embossed cowhide, 4 mm thick, fastened by a silver buckle.
