Archao DLC – black

Black case, black dial, and luminous blocks that hold light like a battery. The Archao DLC is the MeisterSinger built for the hours after sunset.

Archao takes its name from the Greek archaios, meaning primal or original, and the design is a deliberate break from the brand's usual pastoral calm. The dial is finely grained, the half-hour and quarter-hour markers are oversized in crisp white, and the five-minute track is intentionally faded to light gray so the coarse structure carries at a glance. Numerals, markers and hand are solid white LumiBlocks: luminous blocks applied to the dial rather than printed onto it, giving considerably stronger night performance than earlier MeisterSinger lume.

This configuration sets a black dial and black leather strap against a 43 mm stainless steel case finished in matte black diamond-like carbon coating, with 20 mm lugs. The single hand uses the model's divided design, a triangular tip continuing into an elongated rear overhang, interrupted at the center and hollowed from within. A Sellita SW200 automatic, modified for the single-hand configuration, runs 38 hours; the case is rated to 5 bar. No date, no seconds hand.

At 43 mm by 12.3 mm it wears as a genuine sports watch, monochrome enough for daily rotation and readable in the dark without thinking about it.
