29er Day/Date — Titanium-Gray Dial / Steel Bracelet
On its steel bracelet the 29er Day/Date weighs 178 grams and behaves differently. It sits flatter, runs cooler on the skin, and turns a canvas-strap sports watch into something closer to a proper daily driver.
Mühle-Glashütte named the 29er after a boat, not a diameter. The 29er is the sailing dinghy that leads young crews to the Olympic 49er, and the watch was developed in 2006 with the same logic: a clear route into Glashütte watchmaking. The family signature is the contrasting colored flange, here rendered in sand metallic against a titanium-gray dial.
Weekday and date sit together at three o'clock, with applied Super-LumiNova indices and central seconds filling the rest of the face. The stainless steel case measures 42.4 mm in diameter, 12.2 mm high and 49 mm lug to lug, on a brushed steel bracelet with a folding clasp. The automatic movement is a Swiss caliber in Version Mühle trim, carrying woodpecker neck regulation and the Mühle rotor, visible through the sapphire exhibition back, with 41 hours of reserve and 10 bar of pressure resistance.
The version to buy if you would rather not own a second strap. Solid, legible, complete.
Perfect for: steel bracelet day-date buyers, titanium-gray dial seekers, all-purpose daily automatics.
