29er Day/Date — Titanium-Gray Dial / Black Pigskin

A weekday display is one of those complications nobody asks for until they have lived with one. Then the dial without it starts to feel incomplete. That is the case the 29er Day/Date quietly makes.

Mühle-Glashütte built the 29er range in 2006 and named it after the 29er sailing dinghy, the youth class that trains crews for the Olympic 49er. The family's job is to make Glashütte watchmaking approachable, and the Day/Date is its most practical member, pairing weekday and date in a single aperture group at three o'clock.

The dial is titanium-gray with a sand-metallic rehaut lifting its outer edge, applied indices coated in Super-LumiNova, and central seconds. The stainless steel case measures 42.4 mm across, 12.2 mm high and 49 mm from lug to lug, mounted on a black pigskin strap with a steel pin buckle, 109 grams complete. The automatic caliber, a Swiss base finished and regulated in Glashütte to Mühle's own standard of zero to eight seconds fast per day, holds 41 hours and hacks for precise setting.
