29er Chronograph — Black Dial / Nautical Blue Canvas
Legibility is best judged at dusk. That is when the applied indices and luminous hands of this Mühle-Glashütte 29er Chronograph keep their edges longest, holding a black dial readable while the nautical blue canvas underneath points the watch back toward the water.
Mühle-Glashütte is a Glashütte firm whose modern identity begins on the water, and the 29er family takes its name from the 29er sailing dinghy that trains crews for the Olympic 49er. Introduced in 2006, the range was designed as an approachable entrance to the brand. The chronograph is its most complicated member, running the MU 9413, a caliber of Mühle's own with 62 hours of power reserve.
Applied indices and Super-LumiNova stand out sharply against the black dial, joined by small seconds and a date at four o'clock. The stainless steel case measures 42.4 mm across and 14.2 mm high, with a 49 mm lug-to-lug span and 22 mm attachments, worn on nautical blue canvas with a pin buckle at 122 grams. Anti-reflective sapphire, sapphire exhibition back, screw-down crown, 10 bar.
Dark and high-contrast, built for reading quickly rather than admiring slowly. It suits anyone who actually uses the pushers.
Perfect for: black dial chronograph seekers, low-light legibility, maritime sports chronographs.
