29er Chronograph — White Dial / Steel Bracelet
Two hundred grams of stainless steel makes itself known. On its own bracelet with a folding clasp, the 29er Chronograph stops being a strap watch and becomes a solid, cool, all-metal instrument.
Mühle-Glashütte named the 29er range after the 29er sailing dinghy, the youth class that leads to the Olympic 49er, and introduced it in 2006 as a way into Glashütte watchmaking. The chronograph is the range's most ambitious piece, powered by the MU 9413, Mühle's own caliber built on a Swiss base and thoroughly reworked in Glashütte, with 62 hours of reserve and a finely divided flange scale that reads to one eighth of a second.
The dial is white, with applied indices, Super-LumiNova on hands and markers, small seconds and a date at four o'clock. The steel case spans 42.4 mm by 14.2 mm and 49 mm lug to lug, matched to a brushed steel bracelet. Anti-reflective sapphire protects the dial, an exhibition caseback shows the three-quarter plate, and the screw-down crown seals it to 10 bar.
A single-watch answer for someone who wants weight, legibility and a working stopwatch in one piece of steel.
Perfect for: steel bracelet chronograph buyers, high-legibility white dials, one-watch travelers.
