29er Big — White Dial / Stone Gray Canvas
Stone grey canvas under a white dial is the most neutral combination in the 29er Big range, and the most quietly convincing. Nothing about it competes for attention, and Mühle-Glashütte builds the whole line on that principle.
The model is named for a boat. The 29er dinghy is the youth class that leads sailors to the Olympic 49er, and this watch was drawn in 2006 to play the same role for anyone approaching Glashütte watchmaking. The company itself dates to 1869, when Robert Mühle began making precision measuring instruments for the town's watch industry.
The case is stainless steel at 42.4 mm wide, 11.3 mm high and 49 mm across the lugs, with 22 mm strap width. Anti-reflective sapphire, exhibition caseback, screw-down crown, 10 bar. The white dial shows applied luminous indices, central seconds and a date at 3 o'clock. Behind it, the SW 200-1, Version Mühle runs 41 hours and stops its seconds hand for setting, its rate held to a published tolerance of zero to plus eight seconds a day.
Grey, white and steel: a watch that will match everything you own without trying.
Perfect for: neutral toned watch straps, understated 42 mm automatics, everyday white dial watches.
