29er Big — Sand Dial / Steel Bracelet

On the steel bracelet, the sand dial and its nautic-blue rehaut become the only color in the watch. That is a good ratio: the 29er Big keeps its personality and gains an all-weather build. Mühle-Glashütte fits a 190 mm bracelet with a folding clasp.

Sailing gave the line its name, the 29er being the youth dinghy that prepares crews for the Olympic 49er, and Mühle developed the watch in 2006 as a first step into Glashütte watchmaking. The maritime palette of the dials, sand and South Sea blue among them, comes from the same place.

Stainless steel case, 42.4 mm across and 11.3 mm deep, 10 bar, screw-down crown, sapphire on both sides. Applied luminous indices, central seconds, date at 3 o'clock. The SW 200-1, Version Mühle automatic supplies 41 hours, and through the caseback you can see Mühle's own rotor, its heavy-metal rim segment held by gold-colored rivets, swinging on a ball bearing.
