29er — Apricot Dial / Steel Bracelet
Steel cools apricot down. On the bracelet, the 29er's warm dial sits inside a cold frame, and the result is far more wearable day to day than the color alone suggests. Mühle-Glashütte builds every version of this watch in Glashütte, Saxony.
The model dates to 2006 and takes its name from the 29er sailing dinghy, the youth boat that leads to the Olympic 49er class. Mühle intended the same progression: a first Glashütte automatic, built to the same standards as the rest of the catalogue rather than to a lower one.
The apricot dial carries applied indices and Super-LumiNova, with the date at 3 o'clock. Case: stainless steel, 36.6 mm across, 10.4 mm high, 10 bar, screw-down crown. Bracelet: stainless steel, 190 mm, folding clasp. Movement: SW 200-1, Version Mühle, automatic, 41 hours, with Mühle's ball-bearing rotor turning in both directions behind the exhibition caseback and blued screws catching the light beside it.
The most robust way to wear the most unexpected dial color in the 29er line.
Perfect for: colorful dials on steel bracelets, all-weather small automatics, watches that stand out quietly.
