Cherry blossom seen through warm haze. “A Bloom Through Haze” is a YUSAI dial painted by Towa TAKAYA for the MINASE FIVE WINDOWS Miami Sakura limited edition.

The YUSAI series is painted by Towa TAKAYA, a contemporary artist based in Tokyo who makes her own paints from soil, plants and cosmetic ingredients gathered during her research travels. MINASE named the series for the union of time's unhurried flow with the fluctuation of color, and every dial is painted individually rather than printed or reproduced.

Here the palette runs from magenta and coral through gold to turquoise, layered so the surface changes as light comes through the open WINDOWS case. The stainless steel FIVE WINDOWS Mid case measures 32 mm across, 40.3 mm long and 11.6 mm thick including the sapphire, each face hand-polished to a distortion-free mirror, and the self-winding KT8001, a Swiss ETA 2671 / Sellita SW100 base finished by MINASE, sits behind a display back. It is worn on a cream leather strap, with water resistance of 5 atm.
