Teutonia IV Moonphase — White Dial / Black and Blue Calf Leather
A white dial makes a moon phase harder to pull off, because there is nowhere for the night sky to hide. The Teutonia IV Moonphase does not try to hide it.
Mühle-Glashütte keeps the aperture small and the detail high: a disc of about 10 mm at 6 o'clock with two moons and realistically rendered craters, turning once every 59 days so the display steps forward a day at a time. Launched in 2019, it was the first moon phase in the collection.
This is the white-dialed version, with blue PVD-coated hands and hand-applied polished indices, on a black and blue calfskin strap with a steel folding clasp. The 41.0 mm steel case is 12.6 mm high and 51.4 mm lug to lug, carrying the Teutonia IV beveled bezel, finely grained dial and polished volute-shaped lugs. Central seconds, date at 3. The SW 280-1, Version Mühle automatic runs 41 hours with the patented woodpecker neck regulation. Anti-reflective sapphire, exhibition caseback, 10 bar.
Bright, legible and unexpectedly summery for a German dress watch.
Perfect for: white dial moon phase watches, blue accent dress watch buyers, 41 mm automatic complication shoppers.
