Teutonia IV Moonphase — Anthracite Dial / Slate Gray Alcantara
An anthracite dial, gold-plated hands, and on the Teutonia IV Moonphase a moon at 6 o'clock drawn with its craters intact.
The model arrived in 2019 as the first moon phase Mühle-Glashütte had ever put in the collection, and the brand approached it the way it approaches everything, by explaining the mechanism rather than romanticizing it. The disc is roughly 10 mm across, carries two moon images, and turns once every 59 days, so the lunar month advances in clean one-day steps.
This version pairs the anthracite dial with gold-plated hands and slate-gray Alcantara, a suede-like microfiber, on a steel folding clasp. The steel case measures 41.0 mm across, 12.6 mm high and 51.4 mm lug to lug, with the family's beveled bezel, finely grained dial, vertical satin case middle and polished volute-shaped lugs. Central seconds, date at 3 o'clock. The SW 280-1, Version Mühle automatic runs 41 hours with the patented woodpecker neck fine regulation, on show through the exhibition caseback. Anti-reflective sapphire, 10 bar.
Warm metal against a cold dial. It reads dressy in low light and technical in daylight.
Perfect for: moon phase complication buyers, anthracite and gold watch pairings, Alcantara strap dress watches.
