Teutonia IV Lady — Pastel Blue Dial / Silver Gray Velour Suede
Silver-gray suede under a pastel blue dial: the coolest of the combinations Mühle-Glashütte offers on the Teutonia IV Lady, and the easiest to wear with anything.
At 33.5 mm this is the smallest watch in the Teutonia IV family, and it is built like the rest of it, with a beveled bezel, a finely grained dial, hand-applied polished indices and volute-shaped lugs on a vertically satin-finished case middle. The brand declines to treat smaller watches as ornaments, saying plainly that its more delicate watches are not there solely for decoration.
Bright nickel-plated hands and indices sit over the pastel blue, with the date at 6 o'clock. The steel case is 10.2 mm high and spans 41.4 mm between lugs, on a 16 mm velour suede strap with a steel pin buckle, 46 grams all in. The automatic SW 200-1, Version Mühle runs 41 hours and carries the shock-resistant woodpecker neck regulation patented in 2003. Anti-reflective sapphire, exhibition caseback, 10 bar.
Understated by design, mechanical by conviction, and small enough to disappear on the wrist.
Perfect for: neutral suede strap watches, small automatic watches for slender wrists, pastel dial watch shoppers.
